All activity occurring within Elevate, whether as a result of user actions (adding a property), or performed automatically by the system itself (applying rent), is recorded in the comprehensive activity log.
This serves two main purposes:
- All users can see the full trail of activity on all records, constructing a visual history of that record.
- Account owners have the peace of mind that all modifications are fully audited and traceable to users.
Each stream entry will show a timestamp of when the activity took place, accompanied by a coloured icon using the initials of the user who made the change. If the Elevate system was responsible for the update then the initial E will be shown. You can see the user's full name by hovering over the identity icon. If the entry relates to a specific record, e.g. a property was added, then clicking that entry in the activity stream will take you directly to that record.
There are three areas where the activity stream is shown within the system, with slightly different contexts and views.
- Each module dashboard
- Each record's overview screen
- Each record's dedicated activity stream
Module activity stream
On both the sales and lettings dashboards the activity stream appears on the far right of the screen, and outlines a snapshot of the most recent activity affecting any properties in that module.
Record activity stream - overview
Each record, e.g. properties, landlords or tenants, will have a compact activity stream shown on the right-hand side of the overview screen. This will shown the most recent activity relating to this record.
Record activity stream - dedicated
Each record has a comprehensive activity stream showing the full trail of events performed on, and affecting, that record. By default it shows all activity over the last 30 days, but the accompanying filters may be modified to refine this audit trail by specific event types, by user, and over a custom date range.
