You may now automatically apply recurring charges to a tenant and/or property for the duration of the tenancy. However, these may be applied on a schedule which does not necessarily align with the tenancy period, if that suits your purposes.
A typical use for these recurring fees may be to apply a flat management fee per month (to the property), not related directly to the collection of rent. Even though rent may be applied on the first of each month, this recurring charge can be set to apply on any date, and recur according to the defined charge schedule.
Another use may be to charge a tenant a weekly expense relating to utilities or some form of service charge, even if the rent is applied each month.
The start date may be set in the past and will apply all missed fees up to the current period, so long as those dates fall within the tenancy period.
