When progressing a maintenance job between the stages below, the action is now more concise and typically involves only one click now as opposed to the multiple screens previously. This was leading to confusion where clicking a button did not actually move the job to the next (or previous) stage, but the user thought it had taken effect. This was particularly true when re-opening a job, the subject of quite a few support requests.
- New
- Appproved
- Assigned
- Work Complete
- Invoiced
Rather than a generic Progress Job button, which then presented an intermediate form to choose the next stage, and then a subsequent screen dependent on that next stage, the action button is now labelled according to the stage you wish to move to, e.g. Approve Job Assign Job, or Mark as Invoiced.
Additionally, it is now easier to Re-Open a Job if it has been invoiced in error, and it is also now possible to Unassign a Job from the current supplier so that it can be reassigned to another supplier. This may happen if the original supplier is no longer able to carry out the job, or of course if it had been assigned in error.
