A landlord may optionally decide to resolve a maintenance job themselves, without any involvement of the agency. This may be due to their own particular skillset, or a relationship with an existing supplier which does not require the agency's input.
In cases like this, you can specify this by ticking the Owner Will Fix checkbox, either at the job creation stage, or by subsequently editing the new unassigned job.
Alternatively, you can opt not to record such jobs in Elevate, but it is generally recommended to keep track of the job without the need for any financial activity.
Jobs assigned to the landlord progress through a slightly different workflow.
- New
- Assigned to Landlord
- Completed by Landlord
When a job is completed by the landlord, it is considered to be fully complete, unlike standard supplier jobs which still require an invoice to fully close them.
A job cannot be assigned to the landlord to fix if it has already been assigned to a supplier. In order to do this, you will need to un-assign it from the supplier first.
